Live Aid: accadeva il 13 luglio del 1985

Il 13 luglio del 1985 andava in scena il Live Aid, concerto di beneficenza che si tenne allo stadio Wembley di Londra e allo stadio John F. Kennedy di Filadelfia. L'evento fu organizzato da Bob Geldof e Midge Ure per raccogliere fondi per la lotta alla carestia in Etiopia.

Il concerto di Londra ha visto esibirsi artisti come Queen, David Bowie, U2, Paul McCartney, Elton John e Bob Dylan. Il concerto di Filadelfia ha visto esibirsi artisti come Madonna, Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner e Phil Collins.

Live Aid è stato un successo senza precedenti. L'evento è stato trasmesso in diretta in tutto il mondo e ha raccolto oltre 150 milioni di dollari. Il concerto ha aiutato a sensibilizzare l'opinione pubblica sulla carestia in Etiopia e ha contribuito a salvare milioni di vite, diventando una delle manifestazioni più importanti della storia della musica rock, dimostrando il potere della musica per unire le persone e per fare del bene.
